The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has been doing well in fighting terrorism. They’ve had many successes, and Operation Nashrul Salam is helping even more terrorists surrender.
Maj Gen Ibrahim Sallau Ali, the Force Commander, visited General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, Armed Forces of Nigeria, to talk about these successes.
Gen Ali said that more and more terrorists are giving up in Chad, Cameroon, and Nigeria. This shows that the operations against terrorism in the area are working better.
He also praised the Nigerian Armed Forces for their strong support in the fight against terrorism.
The MNJTF is also helping communities recover by doing Quick Impact Projects. In one area called Sector 3 Monguno-Nigeria, over eight communities got help with thirty-five projects in water, education, and health.
General Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, thanked the MNJTF for working hard to bring peace to the Lake Chad area.
He said this area is very important for the nearby countries’ economies. He stressed the need to keep supporting the MNJTF to make sure they can keep fighting terrorism successfully.
He promised to give more help to make sure the MNJTF can keep succeeding in the fight against terrorism.
Operation Nashrul Salam is a special operation of the MNJTF. It’s not about fighting, but about persuading terrorists to stop fighting and choose peace instead.
This approach is helping to solve the reasons why there is conflict and make sure there is long-lasting peace in the area.
The fact that many terrorists are surrendering in different countries shows that this non-violent approach is working well in fighting terrorism and bringing peace to the region.
