BREAKING: Tribunal Upholds $220M Fine on Meta, Awards Extra $35K to FCCPC

The Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal has upheld the whopping $220 million fine slammed on Meta Platforms Inc. by Nigeria’s Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

FCCPC’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Ondaje Ijagwu, confirmed the ruling in a statement on Friday, revealing that the tribunal also ordered Meta to pay an additional $35,000 to cover the commission’s investigation costs.
