Aghaulor Assumes Duty as 7th Zone 13 AIG in Charge of Enugu, Anambra

AIG Godwin Ndidi Aghaulor on Wednesday assumed duty as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG in charge of the 13th Police Zonal Command, in charge of Anambra and Enugu States.

AIG Aghaulor was appointed by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP

Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun to head the Zonal Police Command, following the retirement of AIG Tony Adejoh Olofu, who was formerly in charge of the Command.

At the Command’s headquarters in Ukpo, Dunikofia Council Area of Anambra State, AIG Aghaulor was received by top police officers in the command, after taken salute from a guard of honour mounted for him by the Sentry Guard.

He was later conducted round the facility to inspect the working environment, before retiring to his official office to assume duties.

A detailed brief issued by the Zonal Police Public Relations Office, ZPPRO, SP Josephine Ihunwo revealed that AIG Aghaulor, who hails from Agbor Ika North LGA of Delta State, was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP, Course 16, 1990.

It read; “AIG Aghaulor holds a Bachelor Degree in History, from the University of Port Harcourt. The AIG has served in various Departments of the Nigeria Police Force and globally.

“In the course of his career, he served as Commandant Police

College Kaduna, Deputy Commissioner in charge of Administration Sokoto State, Deputy Commissioner in charge of State Criminal Investigation Department Ebonyi State, Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Zonal Criminal Investigation Department Zone 9 Umuahia, Assistant Commissioner in charge of Homicide Section, FCID Abuja and Director of studies Police Staff College Jos.

“The AIG also participated in United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) 2006- 2007, and served as Squadron Commander, 41PMF Damaturu, Yobe State 2003-2005.

“He equally served as DPO Anaocha Division in Anambra State –

2008, DPO Ajali Division in Anambra State – 2009, DPO Elelenwo Division in River State – 2010, DPO Ozuoba River State, and a host of other offices that he has headed.

“It is worthy of note, that the AIG has zero tolerance for corruption.

“In line with, and to achieve the IGP’s vision statement for “emplacing a

modern Police Force that is professionally competent, service driven, Rule of Law complaint and people friendly, to support economic recovery and growth as well as social and political development of Nigeria.

“The Zonal headquarters hereby solicits the co-operation and support of the good people of Enugu and Anambra States, to enable him bring to bear his vast wealth of experience in Policing and in the maintenance of law and order.”
