The Three Lions of England were held to a full-time draw at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt by Denmark today during their second game of Group C in the ongoing 2024 Euros tournament.
England commanded an early lead through Harry Kane’s strike in the 18th minute of the first half but were left disappointed when the Danish side leveled the score to 1-1 just 16 minutes before the end of the first half.
Despite many expectations from Gareth Southgate’s boys, Denmark had better control of the goal attempts with 16 shots, 7 of which were on target, compared to England’s 11 attempts, with only 4 being near targets.
England’s hope to advance through the group round is realistic after Matchday two as they lead Group C with 4 points, being the only side to have recorded a victory in the group, which was against Serbia in their first game.
