VP visits Kaduna State after 287 pupils and teachers kidnapped

—

Vice President Kashim Shettima visited Kaduna State on Saturday to see what’s happening after 280 school children and teachers were kidnapped from Government Secondary School and LEA Primary School in Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area of the state.

When he arrived, Shettima was welcomed by the Governor of the State, Uba Sani, the Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Abbas, the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Liman, and other important government Officials.

The Vice President then said sorry to the governor and the people of Kaduna State about the terrible incident.

It’s important to know that the state government hasn’t hired someone to talk with the kidnappers, and they haven’t even thought about it.

They said this because some news said something else. The government said that this news could make it harder to get the kidnapped kids back safely.

The very sad thing happened on Thursday morning when bad people with guns went to the LEA Primary School, Kuriga, just after the kids and teachers gathered together and took the kids and some teachers with them.

As the whole country is sad about this terrible thing, it’s really important for the government and police to work together to get the kids and teachers back safely.

The people of Kaduna State and the whole country are together in feeling sad and hoping this scary thing ends soon.
