Troops in Taraba thwart kidnapping, eliminate 5 extremists, and seize arms cache

In an important operation to keep Taraba State safe, soldiers from the 6th Brigade of the Nigerian Army stopped five violent extremists, stopped kidnapping plans, and found lots of weapons and bullets.
The soldiers got information that some extremists were planning to kidnap people from a church event in Wukari along Tor-Tse and Takum road.
troops from the 93 Battalion in Wukari quickly got ready and waited for the extremists. Early in the morning on April 2, 2024, they found the extremists and fought them.
They killed four of them and took their guns: 2 AK 47 Rifles, 1 Pump Action Rifle, and 2 AK 47 Magazines.
A few days earlier, on March 27, 2024, soldiers on patrol near Chanchanji Ward in Takum Local Government Area met some suspected violent extremists. The soldiers fought back and killed one of them.
They also found a homemade gun, 2 bullets, and a mobile phone belonging to the criminal.

This operation shows how much the 6th Brigade cares about keeping people and their things safe in the fight against terrorists.
They want to make Taraba State a better place for businesses. They ask everyone to keep helping the military by telling them about any suspicious things they see.
According to the commander, “We implore members of the public to continue supporting the military by providing timely and credible information on any suspicious movement or activities of criminals within the State”.
