Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, known as Simi, has shared her experience with imposter syndrome.

Simi, a mother of one, said she used to know herself very well, but in recent years, she felt like she lost touch with who she is.

She described feeling like a stranger to herself.

Creating her upcoming album ‘Lost And Found’ helped her reconnect with herself.

On her social media on Tuesday, Simi wrote: “For most of my life, I deeply knew myself. But in recent years, I felt lost and like a stranger to myself. This has been the hardest version of me to face.

“Making this album helped me find parts of myself I thought I lost. We never stop finding ourselves. If you keep looking, there’s always more to discover. This album is a tribute to what we continue to find and rediscover.”

She also mentioned that the album is about reclaiming her connection with music, melody, and love stories.

Fans and colleagues have sent encouraging words to her on the post as they eagerly wait for the album come July.
