Nigerian army eliminates top terrorist deputy, clears Katsina hideouts

—

The Nigerian Army killed a dreaded terrorist leader named Maikusa. He was the second most important person in a group of terrorists in Katsina state. Their main leader is called Modi Modi.

The soldiers shot and killed Maikusa and three other terrorists on Monday, March 4, 2024. This happened during a big fight in Kurfi and Safana, two places in Katsina State. The soldiers were trying to stop the terrorists.

The fight was very hard. The terrorists fought back a lot, but the soldiers were stronger and better armed. Some terrorists got killed, and others ran away.

After the fight, the soldiers found two AK-47 guns, three magazines, 65 bullets, a homemade gun, and camouflage clothes that the terrorists were wearing.

The soldiers didn’t stop there. They also destroyed places where the terrorists were hiding in Wurma, Shaiskawa, Yauni, Dogon Marke, Ummadau, and Zakka villages. These are all in Kurfi and Safana.

The dedicated soldiers continue to put in relentless effort to ensure that every last trace of terrorists is eradicated from the region.

Their unwavering commitment stems from a deep-rooted desire to maintain a safe and secure environment for all inhabitants of the area.

With a steadfast resolve, they tirelessly patrol the terrain, meticulously combing through every nook and cranny to root out any remaining threats.

Their noble mission is driven by a genuine concern for the well-being and security of the community, as they strive to uphold peace and stability in the region.
