Meta has rolled out a significant update for WhatsApp, aimed at streamlining the process of searching for old messages.
The update enables users to effortlessly locate specific messages or media by selecting the desired date, eliminating the need for tedious scrolling through entire chat histories.
Available for both Android and iPhone users, as well as WhatsApp web users and those on PC or Mac, the update marks a user-friendly enhancement to the messaging platform.
Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, personally announced the update through his WhatsApp channel.
To utilize this new feature, users can navigate to the desired chat or group, click on the name, select “search,” and then use the calendar icon to pinpoint messages from a specific date.
This improvement is particularly beneficial for long-time WhatsApp users, providing a more efficient and intuitive way to navigate through extensive message archives.
