—

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have provided an update regarding two of its players, Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheancho, who have withdrawn from the camp of the Super Eagles in Portugal. Both players started Nigeria’s game against the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia on Friday and will not be available for selection when Nigeria takes on Zimbabwe on Monday in the second International encounter.

Kelechi Iheanacho, who scored in the second half to put Nigeria ahead of Saudi Arabia in the 81st minute, has left the camp to attend to pressing personal issues according to the Super Eagles.

Victor Osimhen, who had a knock during the game, was replaced by OGC Nice forward Terem Moffi in the 59th minute. According to the Super Eagles, the Napoli frontman has undergone a scan, and it has been advised he is being withdrawn for precautionary measures by the medical teams.

Jose Peseiro will now resort to selecting players from the available options during Monday’s clash at the Estádio Municipal De Albufeira Stadium, in Portugal.
