CAF Commiserates with Egypt after Death of Player Following Cardiac Arrest

The Confederation of Africa Football, CAF, has expressed its condolences to Egypt and the family of Ahmed Rafaat, who was reported dead yesterday following a cardiac arrest.

“CAF conveys condolences to the family of the late Egyptian player, Ahmed Refaat, published: Sunday, 07 July 2024.

The Confederation African de Football (“CAF”) is saddened by the news of the sudden passing of Egyptian player Ahmed Refaat who played for Morden Future in the Egyptian Premier League.”

“CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe conveys heartfelt condolences to the family of Ahmed Refaat, the Egyptian Football Association (“EFA”) and the Egyptian Football family.”

“May Ahmed Refaat’s soul rest in eternal peace.”

Refaat, 31, suffered cardiac arrest a few months ago and unfortunately died yesterday.

He played with a few Egyptian clubs during his active years before his sudden demise. To the Egypt national team, he was capped 7 times from 2013-2022.
