Following Israel’s seizure of the vital Rafah crossing on the border with Egypt, several Palestinians are moving into central Gaza by the thousands, mainly to Deir el-Balah city.Â
The UN secretary-general warned that an Israeli’s seizure of Rafah could be “a strategic mistake, a political calamity, and a humanitarian nightmare.”
“With each day that Israeli authorities block life-saving aid, more Palestinians are at risk of dying,” Human Rights Watch said of the situation.
