Wilfred Ndidi Ruled Out Of QPR Clash, Leicester Confirms

Leicester city has confirmed the unavailability of their defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi ahead of their weekend clash against QPR in the English Championship.

Leicester City will go against Queens Park Rangers at MATRADE Loftus Road Stadium on Saturday as the Foxes will wish to continue their fine form into the season.

Manager Enzo Maresca, who provided a fitness update on his squad ahead of the fixture, said Wilfred Ndidi will be absent due to injury.

Ndidi was not available during the Foxes’ midweek victory over Sunderland with a muscular injury and is set to be out for an extended period, including Saturday’s trip to MATRADE Loftus Road Stadium (3 pm BST kick-off).

“The only one is Wilf,” the 43-year-old revealed in his pre-match press conference. “That looks a bit more than tiredness as we thought at the beginning, so he probably has to stay out some days or weeks.

“It’s not an important problem, just a muscular problem that we thought was not important. It’s not big, but I think at least for some days or weeks he going to be.”

The Nigerian midfielder has made 15 appearances for the FOXES, in which he has scored 3 goals and assisted 4 in all competitions.
