Telegram has expanded the capabilities of its recently launched digital currency, Stars. Initially introduced for in-app use, Stars can now be utilized for paid content and converted to Toncoin, Telegram’s cryptocurrency on the TON blockchain.
Additionally, Stars offer discounts on channel promotions, enhancing their utility within the Telegram ecosystem.
Content creators on Telegram now have new avenues for monetization.
They can post exclusive content that users can unlock using Stars. Channel owners can easily withdraw their earned Stars and convert them to Toncoin through the Fragment platform, providing a seamless way to monetize their content.
Telegram’s new Mini App bar is designed for user convenience, allowing quick access to mini apps without the need to reload.
This feature streamlines user interactions, making the platform more user-friendly and efficient.
Telegram has also improved its story discovery feature. Users can now explore stories by tapping on hashtags and location tags, which leads them to related public stories.
This enhancement makes it easier for users to find and engage with relevant content.
A suite of new features aimed at small businesses has been added to Telegram. These include location and hours information, customized start pages, greeting messages, and chatbot support.
By integrating these business-centric tools, Telegram aims to attract businesses currently using platforms like WhatsApp, offering them a more comprehensive and versatile environment for their operations.
