Shehu of Borno Receives Delegation of South-South Royal Majesties on Sympathy Visit Over Recent Flood Disaster

His Eminence, the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi (CFR, FNSE), graciously welcomed a delegation of royal dignitaries from Nigeria’s South-South region.

The delegation, led by His Royal Highness, King Ambassador Dr. Appolus Chu, OFR, the Egbere Emere Okori I of Eleme Kingdom, visited the Shehu to offer their sympathies following the devastating flood that recently affected Borno State.

The visit was a gesture of solidarity and compassion, as the South-South royals came to express their heartfelt commiserations over the hardship and destruction caused by the flood.

King Appolus Chu and his delegation conveyed their deep concern for the people of Borno during this difficult time, acknowledging the challenges faced by the affected communities.

In response, the Shehu of Borno expressed his gratitude to King Appolus Chu and the entire delegation for their show of support and brotherhood.

He acknowledged the importance of unity and mutual aid among traditional institutions, particularly during times of adversity.

His Eminence also prayed for Allah’s blessings upon their journey, wishing them a safe return to their kingdom.

This visit underscores the strong bonds between the traditional rulers of Nigeria, demonstrating that the spirit of empathy and cooperation transcends regional boundaries.
