Nigerian instrumentalist and musician Seun Kuti went live on social media earlier today to answer questions and clarify recent rumors about his relationship with fellow activist VeryDarkMan (VDM).
Seun has been accused of influencing VDM’s actions behind the scenes, but he firmly stated that he has no control over VDM’s decisions.
He emphasized that VDM is an adult who acts independently and shares insights about charitable efforts along the way.
During his live session, which took place in the early hours of Friday, October 25, Seun discussed various topics, including VDM’s recent announcement of his non-governmental organization (NGO).
Just weeks after launching the NGO, VDM’s charity received an impressive N200 million in anonymous donations, including a significant N100 million from music mogul Don Jazzy, which ignited a heated online debate.
While some criticized VDM for accepting such a large donation, others pointed out the irony of Don Jazzy donating N4 million to social media personality Bobrisky.
In response to these discussions, Seun Kuti explained that many people mistakenly believe he is the mastermind behind VDM’s initiatives.
He reassured his fans that he merely supports VDM as a friend and does not personally enjoy charity work. Instead, Seun advocates for allowing individuals to express their true intentions, believing that this freedom ultimately reveals their character.
