Senator Natasha initiates the construction of new schools in Kogi Central

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central senatorial district, flagged off the construction of new schools in Osara for the Hausa/Fulani community.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central senatorial district, recently initiated the construction of new schools in Osara for the Hausa/Fulani community. 
Natasha, launched the reconstruction and remodeling of Abdul Azeez Atta Memorial College, Okene (AAAMCO), to upgrade it to one of the most advanced secondary schools in Nigeria.
The reconstruction project includes renovating and upgrading all deteriorated structures within AAAMCO, as well as constructing new facilities such as laboratories, a CBT center, an amphitheater, music, and art studios, staff quarters, and a sports center.
The school will also be equipped with modern amenities like electrified classrooms and digital learning devices for students.
 Furthermore, infrastructure improvements such as road networks, perimeter fencing, streetlights, water supply, and hostel rehabilitation are part of the project.
AAAMCO, established in 1927 as Central School Okene, has a rich history and notable alumni, including President Ibrahim Babangida and Professor Jerry Gana.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan emphasized her commitment to upgrading other schools in the senatorial district into smart schools.
Moreover, the senator fulfilled her campaign promises to the Hausa/Fulani community by launching the construction of primary and secondary schools in Osara.
These new schools will feature administrative buildings, libraries, laboratories, staff quarters, a clinic, sports facilities, and boreholes.
The initiative was approved by the federal government, reflecting the importance of education to Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who emphasized its role in her upbringing.
She reiterated her dedication to improving education in her district and providing quality education to all communities, including the Hausa/Fulani.
Dr. Nuhu Abubakar Jalido, speaking on behalf of the Hausa/Fulani community, expressed gratitude for the initiative, recognizing it as an opportunity for their children to access quality education locally.
He praised Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan for her commitment to making a difference and empowering their community through education.
