History will never forget him in a hurry. Alive he made great impact. Even in death his impact isn’t receding. Each administration no matter how small has a gift well wrapped from him.
Many years gone since he was gone, his “savings” keep coming through for us the living. What manner of a President he was? Like the nostradamus of our time he saw the future and went ahead to save for the rainy days.
Over two decades he expired, the manna from him seems unending. Like a plant planted by the river side, his savings keep yielding, multiplying in an exponential rate.
Who is he that comes at every administration, shinning his light of dollars and pounds on? Sani!!
To Obasanjo, he was graciously generous. He enjoyed the savings, only God knows what he used the money for.
To Yaradua and Goodluck he came through for them with dollars and pounds in his usual generous manner. What did they use the money for?
To Buhari, he wasn’t stingy to him, in his generosity he came through for him as usual. What did he use the money for ?
Now to Bola, I heard there is still a package for him, just like his predecessors, would the money still remain unaccounted for as usual?
Sani, though hidden behind the dark speck, accused of many things, painted on canvas as the devil and weaved through the tapestry of Nigeria leadership space as crude, devious, greedy and dictatorial.
Placed side by side with the players on our current political field he may after all be a Saint among them.
Think about Emefiele the embattled past CBN governor, one would rather be compelled to compare him with Sani Abacha.
Abacha frankly speaking would take him to the cleaners. Without sounding judgmental Abacha is a Saint compared to Emefiele..
Sani’s savings are yielding massively on investment. Where is Emefiele’ ? He threw us into this mess, grinded the economy and shared whatever that was left of our foreign reserves we had with his crook cronies. His recklessness and overbearing disposition towards elective power was disheartening.
He threw decency to the wind and went on a wide goose chase for a power that wasn’t in the first place within his right of way.
Think about Aliko Dangote, place him on same scale of patriotism with Abacha who will weigh more? Who will be more patriotic? Who stole more from the government and masses? Whose actions and inactions have wrought more pains and harsh hardship on the masses?
Bring Mahmood the INEC Chairman and place him on same scale of national patriotism with Sani, who will weigh more? Who has caused more debilitating pains on the psychology of the masses? Plunging them deeper into mental ill-health and hopelessness?
Bring Obasanjo, Goodluck, Babangida, Buhari etc and place them on same scale of patriotism with Abacha, it may surprise many how Abacha may be the Saint here.
Nigeria is blessed, endowed and beautiful designed by God, but the mischief of our leaders have disfigured her, not even a tiny trace of her beauty and cuteness can be seen.
Imagine if we had responsibile, honest and integrity driven leaders since 1999, with the Abacha savings, the huge oil prices, not even a witch of unimaginable weird power would have denied Nigeria an enviable place as the bride and highly sought after in the global economy. Sadly, see where their greed, insanity, incompetence, stealing, nepotism etc have placed us, robed in tatters with a beggarly features undeserving of one with such amazing potential like Nigeria.
Those who are meant to bow before us , we are rather slavishly bowing for hand out.
Shame on anybody who have had anything to do with the administration of resources and policies in Nigeria, especially those that have delibrately truncated justice, diverted resources and made democratic process one for the highest bidder.
Saint Abacha among crooks continue with your packages for any administration in power. Though what was meant to be stealing, each administration is benefiting from.
May God have mercy on your soul and grand you peace if you are still far away from it. You seem to be the best among them.
