Vienna, Austria – In a shocking move, Jurgen Klopp, the renowned former Liverpool manager, has been announced as the new Global Head of Soccer at Red Bull Group.

The German football legend will oversee all Red Bull-affiliated clubs, including RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg, and others, effective January 1, 2025.

Klopp, who spent nearly 25 years on the sidelines, expressed his excitement about the new challenge. “After almost 25 years on the sideline, I could not be more excited to get involved in a project like this,” he said. “The role may have changed, but my passion for football has not.”

As Global Head of Soccer, Klopp will advise Red Bull’s network of clubs on transfers, strategic planning, and overall football operations. His wealth of experience and expertise will be invaluable in shaping the future of Red Bull’s football endeavors.

“I want to develop on a daily basis the incredible soccer talent that we have,” Klopp emphasized, highlighting his commitment to nurturing young talent and driving success across the Red Bull ecosystem.

Red Bull Group’s move to appoint Klopp is seen as a significant coup, given his impressive managerial credentials, including guiding Liverpool to Champions League and Premier League titles.
