Police Arrest Osun Monarch’s Son Over Murder Of U.S Based Lecturer

Reports say, the Osun State Police Command has apprehended Prince Eniola Oyeyode, the son of Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Oyeyode Oyesosin, in connection with the murder of a US-based lecturer, Dr. Richard Idowu Adeoriokin. 

 

It was that the deceased was gun down by a local hunter at Prince Eniola’s residence in Ejigbo town after attending the 50th Coronation Anniversary of the monarch and was rushed to a private health facility where he was pronounced lifeless. 

 

According to the spokesman of the Osun state command, SP Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the arrest revealed that Prince Oyeyode instructed one of his civilian guards, Hammed Abdul Jelili, to shoot his double barrel to see if it was working correctly.  The guard shot directly at the victim, leading to his death.

The statement stated in parts; “The Osun State police is using this medium to inform the general public that the Command is aware of the incident of shooting that occurred at Ejigbo which led to the death of one Dr. Richard AdeoriOkin”.

 

The police, disclosed that prince Eniola Oyeyode who commanded his civilian guard to shoot at him, has been arrested and detained.

 

Meanwhile, the Osun state Commissioner of Police, CP Bzigu Dali Kwazhi, mni, has charged members of the public particularly the residents of Ejigbo to remain peaceful as frantic efforts are being put in place to carry out prompt findings related to the incident.
