The Commissioner for Urban Renewal Delta State, Engr. Michael Anoka has congratulated the newly sworn-in local government chairmen and vice chairmen of Delta State.
Recall that yesterday, Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori officiated the swearing-in ceremony for the elected chairmen and vice chairmen of the 25 local government areas in Asaba, the state capital.
During the ceremony, the Governor emphasized the importance of modesty, fiscal discipline, and people-oriented governance.
Speaking at the reception for Ndokwa West LGA chairman Chief Obi Nzete, Anoka expressed confidence in the leadership abilities of the 25 LGA chairmen to drive the M.O.R.E Agenda of the Governor in their respective areas.
He expressed optimism in their preparedness to prioritize the welfare of their constituents and ensure that the benefits of democracy are accessible to all.
Anoka also thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his steadfast advocacy and support for local government autonomy, even prior to the recent Supreme Court ruling.
This commitment, the Commissioner said, has positioned the Governor and Delta State as champions in promoting local government autonomy.
Engr. Michael Anoka congratulated all 25 local government chairmen and vice chairmen, praying for divine wisdom and strength as they serve their people.
