My wife is the perfect actor’s wife – Adeyemi

Nigerian actor Deyemi Okanlawon has spoken candidly about the difficulties he encountered while filming “All’s Fair In Love,” highlighting his wife’s notable absence due to pregnancy.

Okanlawon discussed the effect of his wife’s absence on the filmmaking process in an exclusive interview with Pulse Nigeria. He said, “My wife has not been by my side throughout this process… in hindsight, that might have been the reason why this has been the toughest thing to have ever gone through.”

Okanlawon called his wife the “perfect actor’s wife,” highlighting her consistent support for his acting career. The news of their son’s birth was released on February 15, 2024, the same day that his first film as a producer came out.

Acknowledging the movie’s financial success, Okanlawon gave appreciation to his contacts in the business, mentioning in particular Mo Abudu’s magnanimity in providing free lodging and sites for the shoot.

The plot of “All’s Fair In Love” is around two business partners from Nigeria fighting for the love of the same woman, played by Buhle Samuels. With a star-studded cast that includes Juliet Ibrahim, Timini Egbuson, Okanlawon, and Ireti Doyle, the movie has made ₦27 million as of February 18, 2024, and is still doing well in theatres all over the country.
