My boyfriend’s mum doesn’t want her son to marry me – Lady cries out

A befuddled Nigerian Lady has taken to social media to lament how her boyfriend’s mother is kicking against their affair.

In a post shared on Facebook by social influencer Amanda Chisom, the lady, who preferred anonymity said the guy loves her so much and wants to marry her but his mum is becoming an obstacle because of a certain prophecy. She is seeking advise of the populace on how to handle the situation.

She wrote:

I have been in a relationship for 5 years now, though the relationship turned distant 4 years ago. He’s outside the country while I am in Enugu, I graduated last year.
My fiancé wanted to open a business for me and decide to involve his people to at least know my family but his family declined the offer because they depend so much on him to lift others in the family, of which both of us had plans on how to place others in a good position in life after he has set up his own business first according to him, he wants to stand first before helping others. Even after telling them the plans we have, the mother insists he shouldn’t marry me that there was a prophesy that I will divert every of their son’s properties and money to my family, and this has never come to my mind..

The people in question are yet to meet me, we have been good since, the mother used to involve me in their family matters but what is happening now is what I can’t explain. My fiancé in question vowed not to leave me but right now I am not having peace again because of everything happening.
He has sent the money for me to open our business but I am afraid, what if he finally comes back and his family stands their ground that he shouldn’t marry me, what would happen? Because my fiancé to some extent listens to his mother’s advice.

I have rejected a lot of suitors so far because of the love I have for him and he loves me too.

Pls if you have been in this situation, advice me, what should I do… How do I know he’s the one or this is not the will of God. I need help pls
