The President of the Supreme Council for Shariah in Nigeria (SCSN), Sheikh Abdurrasheed Hadiytullah, has revealed that the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the Bola Tinubu-led government is not the solution to the nation’s challenges.
Hadiytullah who stated this while speaking at the annual Pre-Ramadan meeting of the SCSN, Hadiytullah said that the idea of a Muslim-Muslim ticket in in the nation’s political life has been emphatically established.
He explained that the idea of a Muslim-Muslim agenda, which is believed to be the right of the Muslim majority in a democracy, is not, on its own, a solution to the various challenges bedeviling country.
While lamenting that Nigerians are “living in turbulent and unpredictable times characterized by fear, insecurity, excruciating poverty, mutual distrust, corruption, and despondency, the President of the Supreme Council for Shariah in Nigeria said that millions of frustrated youths in Nigeria face an uncertain future and diminishing possibilities.
“We are indeed facing near existential challenges, the resolution of which will require more than halfhearted efforts from all of us. The paramount challenge before us is how best to confront these issues, instill hope, and, with the help of Allah, turn our situation around to success, security, and prosperity.” He added.
