The Lagos State Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Akinyemi Bankole Ajibotafe, has reiterated the Ministry’s mandate towards ensuring the empowerment of young entrepreneurs for effective service delivery in their chosen profession across the State.
He disclosed this at a one-day workshop organised for 100 young entrepreneurs on business development to enhance the growth of their businesses in Lagos State.
Ajigbotafe, represented at the event held at the Lagos State Debt Management Office, Ikeja, by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Biodun Onayele Permanent Secretary, stated that the Ministry will continuously implement programmes to ensure that no one is left behind in the all-inclusive initiative of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S. Plus Agenda for #Greater Lagos.
He stated that the training aims to equip young entrepreneurs with practical and technical skills, including business administration, effective business communication, marketing and branding, effective bookkeeping, pricing and sales strategies that are fundamental to start-up businesses’ sustainability and success in the competitive marketplace.
The training, according to him, will help educate entrepreneurs on how to manage their various businesses effectively and efficiently, adding that the workshop would teach participants ways to launch into the business world, leaving them better equipped to ride on the waves and challenges in the quest for success.
He charged entrepreneurs at the event, to utilise the opportunity to improve their businesses and contribute to the socio-economic growth of Lagos State.
The event had in attendance Facilitators from the Leadership Challenge Foundation, namely, Mrs. Monisola Oyeleye, Mrs. Taofeek Sanni and Mr. Ajibola Ajayi.
