Kwara United has announced the dismissal of 22 players ahead of the 2024-25 season.
The club’s manager, Bashir Badawiy, stated that the decision aims to help the club remain among the top three in the top flight league, with plans to swiftly replace the released players:
“Our expectation in the 2024/25 NPFL season is to finish among the top three. We don’t want to struggle again; check our records in the last two seasons, we were among the top four and even qualified for continental,” he said.
According to the club’s Chief Communication Officer, Kwara United will participate in the next Valuejet Preseason tournament in Ikenne, Ogun State, starting on the 24th of this month.
Meanwhile, the club will continue its training tomorrow morning at the Kwara United training pitch.
