The popular mobile game, “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” is saying goodbye after nearly ten years.Â
The game has stopped letting people buy things in the app, and it’s no longer available to download from app stores.
Made by Glu Mobile and launched in June 2014, the game lets players try to become big Hollywood stars by doing different tasks and building their fame.
In the game, players complete jobs like modeling, going to clubs, going on dates, and acting to gain fans, money, and experience points.
Even though the game was free, players could buy stuff like clothes, accessories, and energy using ‘K-stars’ or by watching ads. The game also had appearances by other Kardashian family members.
People who already play the game can keep playing and using in-game money until April 8. But after that, the servers for the game will shut down. If someone has a VIP subscription, they need to cancel it themselves.
The game did really well, making $700,000 per day soon after it started in 2014. By 2016, it had been downloaded over 45 million times and earned about $160 million in two years.
Its success inspired other famous people like Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry to make their own games.
