Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has showed his dissatisfaction following a difficult victory his boys earned over 10 men Mozambique yesterday during their second consecutive international friendly tie in Portugal.
In his post match interview, as covered by PHNCH, Jose asserted that he was unhappy with the second half approach and had expected a better display after the red card.
“First of all, I’m happy that after 15 friendly matches, we finally got a win for the first time in four years,” Peseiro said.
“I think we deserved much more from this game (against Mozambique). It was easy playing against 10 men but when we were 3-1 up, I didn’t like the performance in the second half. We commanded the game but we lost concentration at some point. We played better than this result.
“We were better than this team (Mozambique). I think my players felt it was easy. I’m not happy with the performance of the players.
“We didn’t manage the game well we had too many poor passes, poor crosses, and poor finishing which I don’t like.
“We should have scored more goals, we created so many chances to score say eight goals. We played better than this performance, my players need to show more concentration.”
