“I’m Not Crazy About It” -Ini Edo Clears the Air on Marriage Rumors

Popular Nigerian actress Ini Edo has set the record straight about recent rumors concerning her potential marriage.

In September 2024, the internet buzzed with speculation after Ini Edo posted a photo of herself wearing a stunning traditional Efik bridal gown, accompanied by a love-filled caption on her official page. The picture immediately sparked wedding rumors, with fans wondering if the star was hinting at an engagement.

However, in a recent interview with Premium Times, Ini Edo addressed the rumors, explaining that the post was simply a promotion for her upcoming four-part series, My Fairytale Wedding. She clarified that the bridal gown photo was part of her role in the series and not an engagement announcement.

When asked about her thoughts on having a fairytale wedding in real life, the actress made it clear that marriage is no longer a top priority for her.

“I’m not crazy about marriage; I’m more focused on building a strong, solid relationship. Marriage isn’t something I’m hoping for, and it’s definitely not on my list of prayers,” she shared.

It’s worth noting that Ini Edo was previously married to Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina. The couple tied the knot in 2008 but went their separate ways in 2014.
