The assailants, posing as women, engaged in an attack at the mentioned location, culminating in the tragic demise of the two law enforcement officers who were on duty at the time.

The event unfolded in Gurbin Magarya village, highlighting the severity and sorrowful consequences of the targeted assault on the police checkpoint along the Jibia-Batsari road in Katsina.

Suspected to be bandits, the assailants made off with the officers’ rifles, leaving the operational vehicle and teargas behind at the scene.

A reliable security source verified the incident, stating that the attack occurred on Thursday.

The victims, identified as members of the police Joint Border Patrol, had their bodies transported to Katsina General Hospital.
