FG allocates affordable houses to Nigerians

—

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Yola, Mr. Martin Gyado, the Federal Controller of Housing for Adamawa, shared that President Bola Tinubu has made significant improvements to the National Housing Programme.

Gyado highlighted the introduction of renewed hope cities and estates aimed at enhancing housing affordability for ordinary Nigerians.

To implement this initiative, the Federal Ministry of Housing has requested all state governments, including Adamawa, to allocate 50 hectares of land.

Gyado mentioned that the correspondence for Adamawa has already reached Gov. Umaru Fintiri, awaiting his approval.

Gyado further revealed that the allocation of houses built under the previous administration has contributed to reducing the housing deficit in the country.

Additionally, he emphasized that application forms for these housing projects are available at the offices of housing controllers nationwide, and they come at no cost.

Providing details specific to Adamawa, Gyado outlined that the housing project in the region is divided into three phases.

The completion of two phases, comprising 190 units each, includes full infrastructure services such as roads, electricity, and water.

Assuring applicants, Gyado emphasized that a fair and transparent process will be followed, ensuring eligibility and adherence to awarding criteria.

Despite a high number of subscribers exceeding the available houses, he reassured people that there is still a chance of securing a home.

Gyado highlighted the positive strides taken to enhance the National Housing Programme, emphasizing the affordability aspect for ordinary citizens.

The information conveyed the ongoing efforts in Adamawa and the assurance of a transparent process for potential homeowners.
