Governor Kefas of Taraba allocates vehicles to traditional leaders

—

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, recently provided brand-new vehicles to the traditional rulers in the state, ranging from First to Third Class chiefs.

The aim is to support their roles as custodians of culture and tradition, making their activities more effective and easing their movements.

The Governor presented First Class chiefs with new Prado jeeps, Second Class chiefs received JAC pick-up vans, and Third Class chiefs were given new High Class Highlander jeeps.

This initiative reflects Governor Kefas’s commitment to acknowledging and valuing the traditional institutions in the state.

Upon assuming office, Governor Kefas approved free medical treatment for traditional rulers in the state, ensuring that many of them could undergo proper medical check-ups and treatment abroad. This demonstrates the Governor’s prioritization of the well-being of these important figures.

To further emphasize his regard for traditional institutions, Governor Kefas recently led traditional rulers on project inspection visits to Takum and Kashimbilla.

During these visits, he assured them of continued inclusion in all developmental policies, programs, and activities in the state.

This signifies a departure from past administrations, giving traditional institutions greater importance.

These gestures are expected to enhance the traditional institution’s effectiveness in carrying out its functions, thereby complementing government efforts to maintain peace across the state.

Notably, Governor Kefas ensures the timely payment of monthly allowances to traditional rulers, reinforcing their significance.

In a broader context, Governor Kefas extended similar gestures to prominent stakeholders who have significantly contributed to the development of the state.

This inclusive approach has helped restore confidence in governance within just eight months of his administration.
