FG launches Pulaku Initiative to tackle farmer/herder conflicts

—

The federal government is getting ready to start the Pulaku Initiative, a big plan to help solve the problems between farmers and herders. The goal is to make things better and bring people together in Nigeria.

Yesterday, the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, started a team to manage the initiative. This is to keep the promise made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to make life better for all Nigerians.

The team, led by Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, also has people from the states that will benefit.

They also have members from different important groups like the Ministry of Agriculture, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), BUA Group, Dangote Group, and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

During the inauguration at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the Vice President, through his spokesman Stanley Nkwocha, said that this project is urgent to solve a big problem in Nigeria.

He said, “This shows that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s promises are being kept. We want to create a place where everyone can live well. This plan shows our commitment to making life better for everyone.”

The Vice President assured that the initiative will deal with a problem that has been around for a long time and needs everyone to work together with fairness and kindness.

He added, “We’re not just reacting; we’re taking action. We’re here because our programs won’t work well unless we solve the root problems we have inherited.”

The Pulaku initiative will start by helping seven states that have been hit hard by problems between farmers and herders.

These states are Sokoto, Kebbi, Benue, Katsina, Zamfara, Niger, and Kaduna. The plan is to improve these places by building houses, roads, schools, and other important things.
