Commissioner Begs Delta Youth to Support Oborevwori’s Administration

—

Youths in Sapele Local Government Area and across Delta State have been called upon to give their unwavering support to the administration of His Excellency, Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State, in appreciation of the Governor’s strong determination for youth inclusion in his cabinet and massive developmental initiatives across the state.
The State Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Jamani Tommy Ejiro, made this appeal during a meeting with the youths of State Ward 6 at Urban Area, Sapele, in Sapele Local Government Area. He expressed gratitude to the people for their strong support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in all elections and reassured them that Governor Oborevwori and the party deeply values their loyalty.
Addressing the issues surrounding the recent councillorship primary in the ward, which has led to serious of protests and media onslaught, Mr. Jamani urged the youth to maintain peace, emphasizing that power belongs to God. He reminded them that the councillorship position is not the only office through which their preferred aspirants can deliver the benefits of democracy to them and the ward.
“We must realize that in every contest, only one winner can emerge. This does not mean that the others are losers; it simply is not their time. Most times, Political decisions rarely favour everyone at the same time, and often, when one opportunity is lost, God prepares a better one for us,” said Mr. Jamani.
He further encouraged the youth to continue their support for Mr. Howell, acknowledging him as a brother, and promised to ensure he is adequately carried along in the system. He encouraged the people to look beyond recent events and continue their support for the PDP and Governor Oborevwori, who is committed to delivering more benefits to the people at the grassroots.
In response, Mr. Howell Ibi expressed his profound gratitude to the Governor for his developmental strides and for appointing young people like Mr. Jamani into his cabinet. “Before now, we rarely see Commissioners or even Senior Special Assistants in our area except during campaigns. This Commissioner has made a significant difference and has restored our hope and confidence in the party. We are a peaceful people and will continue to maintain peace in the ward, but we must appeal to you and our dear Governor to resist all oppressive tendencies at the grassroots, as they can harm the party,” Mr. Ibi stated.
Hon. Nasiru Ado, the immediate past councillor representing the ward, also commended the Commissioner for his initiative to visit the grassroots not for campaigning but to engage with the people, assuring that the ward will continue to support Governor Oborevwori and the PDP at all levels.
Additionally, Mr. Ossy Omolua and Mr. Emmanuel Ayomanor, SSAs on Youth Mobilization to the Governor, in their separate speeches, appealed to the people to overlook their temporary setbacks and remain committed to the party to enjoy more benefits from Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration.
The Hon. Commissioner was accompanied on the visit by Hon. Nasiru Ado, Mr. Ossy Omolua, Mr. Emmanuel Ayomanor, Mr. Sagboje Milton, Mr. Rukevwe Inije, Mr. Paul Obakpolor, among others.
