Chelsea Award: Cole Palmer Wins Men’s Players’ Player of the Season and Men’s Player of the Season Awards

Sensational English player, Cole Palmer, has been declared the winner of Chelsea’s Men’s Players’ Player of the Season and Men’s Player of the Season awards. 

After netting 24 goals and registering 13 assists, Cole recently became only the third player in Premier League history to reach 30-plus goal involvements in a single season while aged 21 or younger.

Cole joins the likes of Eden Hazard, Thiago Silva, and Willian as Chelsea players who have won both the Players’ Player and Player of the Season awards in the same season.

Other awards which were issued out during the ceremony that took place in the Great Hall at Stamford Bridge include PFA Community Champions, Women’s Academy Player of the Year, Women’s Players’ Player of the Year, and Women’s Player of the Year, among others.

The winners of PFA Community Champions are Conor Gallagher and Zecira Musovic.

The PFA Community Champion award highlights the contribution of players on the Men’s and Women’s teams who have gone above and beyond in their work with the Chelsea Foundation.

Katie Cox was voted for the award of the Women’s Academy Player of the Year. Having progressed from the Academy, Katie started to train with the first-team squad this season in addition she named on the substitutes’ bench against Ajax and Barcelona during Chelsea’s UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign.

Alfie Gilchrist and Cox were handed their awards for Men and Women’s Academy Players of the Season respectively.

Gilchrist made his debut against Crystal Palace in the Premier League back in December, going on to make his first start in Blue against Preston North End in the third round of the FA Cup.

Musovic won her second award of the night, picking up the AllBright award, having won the PFA Community Champions prize.

AllBright is a global leader for gender equality in the workplace and the leading network for women and their professions. Musovic was chosen for her outstanding work on and off the pitch during this season.

Lauren James won the award for the Women’s Player of the Year. An award voted for by supporters, James has enjoyed an outstanding campaign in which she has struck 16 goals across all competitions.
