Anambra APC Guber Candidate, Ukachukwu visits tragic accident scene, offers hope, support for Victims

The Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the November 8 Governorship Election in Anambra State, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, on Tuesday, visited the scene of a recent tragic accident at Amichi town in Nnewi South Local Government Area of the State.

The devastating incident, which happened over the weekend, claimed five lives, left several people injured, and destroyed properties, throwing the entire community into deep mourning.

The accident had occurred when a tipper driver moving at a high speed, lost its brakes and crashed into other vehicles and pedestrians.

Five persons fatally injured in the unfortunate incident are presently receiving treatment at Amichi Anglican Diocesan Hospital, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC.

Speaking during the visit, Ukachukwu commiserated with the bereaved families, assuring them that their pain would not be ignored.

Expressing remorse over the unfortunate incident, Ikukuoma, as he is fondly called, prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and for the quick recovery of those battling injuries.

Demonstrating his commitment to humanity and his people, Ukachukwu made a generous donation to victims, who sustained various degrees of injuries, to help offset their medical bills.

This compassionate gesture brought tears of relief to many families struggling with the aftermath of the tragedy.

As a proactive step forward, Prince Ukachukwu announced a bold and futuristic plan to prevent such occurrences in the future.

He promised that upon becoming the governor of Anambra State in 2025, one of his first infrastructural projects will be the construction of a modern flyover at the Amichi town center, the very spot where the accident occurred.

This, he said, would not only decongest traffic but also enhance the safety of road users in the area.

“No family should ever go through such avoidable pain again. I stand here not just to sympathize, but to assure you that a better, safer Anambra is possible.

“With your support, we shall make it happen,” he declared.

The people of Amichi, deeply moved by his words and actions, expressed their gratitude and reaffirmed their unwavering support for his candidacy.

Some community leaders lauded him for not just making promises but backing them up with immediate action that alleviates suffering.
