Airtel Nigeria Receives Three Telecom Licences

—

Airtel Nigeria Telesonic Limited, a subsidiary of Airtel Nigeria, has been awarded three key telecom licences by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
The new licences include a National Long Distance licence, an Internet Service Provider (ISP) licence, and a Sales & Installation Major licence.
The National Long Distance licence, which allows for extensive national communication services, is valid for 20 years, starting from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2044.
In contrast, the ISP and Sales & Installation Major licences are each valid for five years, running from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2029.
These developments, announced by the NCC on Friday, signify an expansion of Airtel Nigeria Telesonic Limited’s capabilities in the telecommunications sector.
