Social commentator and aide to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Ossai Ovie Success, has condemned Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike’s, recent boasts about influencing the 2027 senatorial elections.

Success expressed disappointment and concern in a Facebook post over Wike’s statements, citing hubris and disdain for democracy. Wike had publicly declared his intent to ensure Senator Kinigbe Ireti’s defeat in 2027, sparking outrage and accusations of reliance on rigging.

Success emphasized that Wike’s confidence in removing a senator reeks of arrogance and disconnection from the citizens he serves.

“No human should ever think they have the power of God,” Success stressed, urging focus on praying for life and good health rather than making grandiose predictions.

“It’s hubris to assume he’ll be alive and in power then, when only God knows what the future holds.

“Our priority should be praying for life and good health, not making grandiose predictions.

“By publicly declaring he’ll make  a senator to lose election in 2027, he’s showing disdain for the electorates and the democratic process.

“His confidence in removing a senator reeks of arrogance and reliance on rigging, rather than the people’s support.

“It’s a stark reminder that he’s disconnected from the citizens he serves.”

This development has sparked widespread criticism, with many calling for Wike to retract his statements and respect the democratic process.
