Due to an unexplained ailment, Nigerian Afrobeat singer Tiwa Savage has temporarily ceased performing live.
This is coming as a rude shock to many especially her fans the “Savage Soldiers”. Tiwa savage is an all time sweetheart in the music industry and she has worked hard to get to that level.
She has been battling an illness, according to a press release, which required her to take a rigorous vocal rest regimen for several months.

Tiwa Savage is well-known for her tireless work ethic and her ability to put on a tremendous show. But it’s impossible to overstate how crucial it is to put your health first. Like any profession, artists need time to rest and recuperate, especially if they are dealing with health problems.
But owing to the illness, Tiwa had to cancel every concert she had scheduled, including her first-ever headline arena show in London. It must really be hard for Tiwa Savage. She has been super excited about her first ever show in London and her fans were looking forward to seeing her perform live.
The statement reads:
To my dear Savage Soldiers, I’ve been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months.
“I will unfortunately have to postpone all performances including my first ever headline arena show in London.
“I’m heartbroken and devastated but I have to do this to save what’s left of my voice.
“I’m so sorry. I love you all and promise to be back performing once I’m fully healed.”
Although the ailment is yet to be revealed but the Queen of Afrobeats as she is referred to needs to take some time off performing, it’s sad for her fans but it is important for her to obey medical instructions. From the post a new date will be announced soon, Prayers up for Mummy Jam Jam!
