Nigerian artist Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, better known as Skales, recently shared some surprising thoughts during his appearance on the show Off The Top, hosted by media personality VJ Adams.
The talented singer revealed that he has regrets about not having any baby mamas in his life, a sentiment that caught many by surprise.
At 33, Skales is coming to terms with the realization that he is currently the only living member of his family’s bloodline. This sobering truth became particularly evident after the passing of his mother, a loss he still grapples with deeply. VJ Adams, who also faced the heartache of losing his mother in October 2022, was sympathetic during the discussion.
Reflecting on his marriage to Precious Hassanity, which took place on October 25, 2021, Skales expressed his discontent regarding their relationship. In a moment of vulnerability, he criticized his wife for what he perceived as insincerity in her mourning. He described her as “heartless,” expressing shock at being married to someone he labeled a “devil.” Though he later apologized for his harsh words, their relationship has since remained largely under the radar.
During the interview, Skales emphasized his newfound understanding of his role in his family’s legacy. With the weight of his family’s lineage resting on his shoulders, he feels a pressing need to expand his bloodline. He jokingly announced that he’s “opening up applications” for potential partners to help him in this endeavor.
“I really regret not having baby mamas,” he confessed. “I’m like the only person in my family’s bloodline that is alive right now, so the whole bloodline relies on me to produce. I think I’m receiving applications,” he added with a laugh.
VJ Adams playfully suggested the idea of turning Skales’ search for a partner into a reality TV show. “We could call it Finding Eve or something,” he proposed.
To which Skales responded enthusiastically, “I’m telling you, bro! Or we could use that Bible verse about going out into the world to multiply!”
