Remi Tinubu Donates 50,000 Books to Students in Bauchi

Wife of the President, Remi Tinubu, donated 50,000 books to students in Bauchi State on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
The distribution of these books to schools will be handled through the Local Education Authorities (LEAs).
Representing Tinubu at the event, Dr. Aisha Mohammed, the wife of the Bauchi State Governor, explained that the books and other educational materials were provided under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).
This initiative aims to enhance the quality of education by ensuring that pupils have access to necessary learning resources.
Dr. Mohammed highlighted that the RHI initiative is focused on empowering women and girls.
In addition to the book donation, the First Lady also provided financial support of N500,000 each to 20 women to help them start agricultural ventures.
The Commissioner for Education, Dr. Jamila Dahiru, praised this generous gesture. She noted that it would support the state’s efforts to deliver free, quality education to all students.
Additionally, she mentioned that pupils from basic and post-basic schools in Bauchi would be participating in the upcoming African Fabric Competition, organized by the RHI.
Dr. Dahiru expressed her gratitude, emphasizing that the donation would significantly bolster the state’s educational initiatives.
She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring that every child in Bauchi receives a quality education.
