Former Labour Party spokesperson Nana Kazaure has declared that a Peter Obi presidency in 2027 would focus squarely on security and curbing economic mismanagement.
In an interview with Arise News, monitored by The News Chronicle on Tuesday July 1, Kazaure described Obi as calm but resolute, emphasizing that his frugal leadership style could rein in corruption and revive the economy.
“Tinubu has travelled 40 times and Nigerians have seen no results,” she said, criticizing the current administration’s spending and lack of progress.
On Obi’s promise to serve only one term, Kazaure insisted four years is enough to address Nigeria’s socio-economic woes.
She also dismissed Reno Omokri’s attacks on Obi, calling him a “distraction” with “no conviction.”
Commenting on possible alliances, Kazaure confirmed Obi remains in the Labour Party and is actively consulting on coalition talks.
The former Labour Party Spokesperson concluded by warning that Nigerians won’t allow a repeat of the 2023 electoral experience.
“In 2027, people will keep their eyes on the ball and ensure that the electoral process is not compromised,” she said.
