NEMA Distributes Relief Materials To Flood Victims In Delta

The National Emergency Management Agency, Edo Operations Office, has bagun the distribution of relief materials to communities affected by flood and erosion in Ndokwa/Ukwani Federal Constituency of Delta State. 

A statement on the official X handle of NEMA on Thursday 28 December 2023 reads in parts;

“The Head of Operations was represented at the distribution exercise by the Head of Relief and Rehabilitation Unit.

“The senior legislative aide, Princewill Ogbolu, thanked the Director General of NEMA on behalf of the beneficiaries for the relief materials and promised that the items would be used judiciously”.

It was gathered that the relief materials distributed to the affected persons followed the intervention of the Director General of NEMA, Alhaji Mustapha Habib’s in the approval of relief items for the affected communities in Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency.

The exercise was conducted with communities representatives. Some of the items distributed comprised of food, non-food items, and building materials.

Reports said that several Delta communities were severely affected by flood as seen in some parts of the country.
