Kano State Governor Orders Immediate Investigation into Kano State Medical Drugs Supply

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has issued a directive for an immediate investigation into a recent contract involving the supply of medical drugs to the 44 local government areas within the state. 

The Governor, who claimed to have no prior knowledge of the contract, has instructed the State Anti-Corruption Commission to thoroughly investigate the matter.

He warned that anyone found responsible for any irregularities or misconduct in the awarding or execution of the contract will face serious consequences.

In a statement jointly signed by the Commissioner for Information, Baba Halilu Dantiye, and the Director General of Media and Publicity to the Governor, Mr. Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Saturday, the Governor emphasized that the investigation must be conducted with utmost diligence and transparency.

He also directed that the findings of the investigation be reported directly to his office and made available to the public.

Governor Yusuf expressed his commitment to ensuring accountability and transparency in government dealings, stating that those found guilty of any wrongdoing will face the full force of the law.

He further urged the people of Kano State to remain patient and trust in the process as the investigation unfolds.

The Governor assured the public that his administration is determined to uphold justice and will not hesitate to take necessary action against anyone implicated in the alleged misconduct.
