Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has hinted at the possibility of moving to the Saudi Pro League during an interview with HLN Sport.

De Bruyne said he’s open to everything at his age, with the possibility of switching club allegiance to the Saudi league:

“Saudi proposals? So… at my age, you have to be open to everything.”

The Belgian playmaker said the attractive salary package in the Saudi Pro League is irresistible. He mentioned that you may have to play for 15 years in Europe to match what a player earns in two years at the Saudi Pro League:

“You’re talking about incredible amounts of money. In the last stage of my career, you have to think about that.”

“If I play there for two years, I will be able to earn an incredible amount. Before that, I had to play football for 15 years and maybe not even reach that amount!”

With a year left on his contract with Premier League champions Manchester City, the 33-year-old said his future has been a topic of discussion with his family:

“For my wife, an exotic adventure is okay. I have to think about my future; we are discussing it within the family.”

“I have one year left on my contract with Man City, so it will be time to think about it and decide my future.”

Despite missing chunks of City’s games this season due to a hamstring injury, Kevin played vital roles in their title triumph.

Being the only player inherited and retained by Guardiola, who took over City in 2016, the Belgian has won six Premier League titles, winning the last four in a row—a record kept by the club as the first side to achieve that feat. He also won the UEFA Champions League and a few other trophies.
