Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, asked people in the state to pray and fast for one day. He wants everyone to do this on Monday, February 19, 2024.
He hopes that through prayer, they can find solutions to the problems caused by inflation.

They are using new ways of farming and helping local farmers. They hope that by doing this, they can reduce the need for food aid.
The governor also talked about how the prices of important things like food and building materials have gone up.
He said that the government is talking to people in these industries to find ways to help lower prices.
Zulum also mentioned that the government is giving out more aid, especially in places like Maiduguri Metropolitan and Jere.
They also want to make sure that healthcare, education, and clean water are available to everyone.
Another problem Zulum talked about is the danger of mines on the roads. He said that the government is working with the police and army to remove these mines and keep people safe.
He believes that there are some people who don’t want the state to progress, but the government is trying to find them and stop them.
