Governor Buni grants scholarships to 221 law students in Yobe

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni recently took a significant step towards promoting ongoing education by awarding scholarships to 221 law students who have graduated from various universities across the country.

The ceremony unfolded at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Damaturu, drawing distinguished guests from every corner of the state.

Governor Mai Mala Buni, in his address, extended heartfelt congratulations to the beneficiaries, commending them for the successful completion of their degree programs.

He expressed his best wishes as they embark on the journey to obtain their professional certificates at the Nigeria Law School.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to quality education at all levels, Governor Buni emphasized the administration’s focus on foundational, tertiary, and professional courses like Law, Accountancy, and Medical sciences.

He underscored the consistent efforts to improve educational infrastructure, reconstructing damaged schools, establishing new ones, and providing essential materials and equipment for effective teaching and learning.

Governor Buni proudly noted that Yobe State has maintained an exceptional position in the Northeast sub-region and nationally, offering opportunities for students to pursue professional certificates effortlessly.

He assured the audience of the government’s unwavering commitment to awarding scholarships to qualified Yobe indigenes in both local and international tertiary institutions.
