Controversial Cross-Dresser, Bobrisky Appeals Jail Sentence

—

Bobrisky, also known as Idris Okuneye, didn’t take his recent legal trouble lying down. After being sentenced to six months in jail for messing with the naira, he decided to fight back.

The court gave him a hard time for his actions, saying it should be a lesson for others not to disrespect our currency.

But Bobrisky’s lawyer, Mr. Bimbo Kusanu, thinks the punishment was too harsh. He’s taking the case to the Court of Appeal, hoping to change the sentence. Instead of jail time, he suggests a fine of N50,000 for each of the counts Bobrisky faced.

Kusanu argues that Bobrisky isn’t a repeat offender and didn’t have any past run-ins with the law. He believes the court could have gone easier on him, especially considering Bobrisky admitted his guilt from the start and cooperated with the authorities.

According to Kusanu, the court didn’t think about Bobrisky’s good behavior or the fact that he didn’t waste the court’s time by denying the charges. He feels the punishment was too harsh and unfair, and hopes the Court of Appeal sees it his way.
