Bruno Fernandes Crown Manchester United Player of the Month for April

The Portuguese has an impressive seven strikes in just six games for Erik ten Hag’s side and also registered a further two assists, proving his weight in gold when it comes to goal contributions in his 45 caps for the club.

Here’s what Ten Hag said about the captain:

“He’s in very good form. I think when we put him in the right position, he finds the right spots.

“When he’s in that position, he makes the right decisions. He can create a lot, score a goal, make assists, and key actions. So we’re very happy with his performance.

“He shows his leadership. But also with his energy, in his transition both ways, it’s very important. He tries to encourage the team. He’s doing very well and we’re very pleased with his performance and with his attitude.”

The club also extended their congratulatory message to their No. 8 for this remarkable feat:

“Scooping a whopping 72 per cent of the poll, with Maguire in second and Garnacho third, our congratulations go to Fernandes on an exemplary month for the Reds.”
