Boko Haram Terrorist surrenders and relinquishes weapons to troops in Borno

A member of Boko Haram Terrorists, identified as Sajeh Yaga, has surrendered to the troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Borno state, Nigeria.
Reports indicate that the surrender occurred on Sunday April 28, 2024, when the said terrorist, who had reportedly escaped from the terrorists’ stronghold in Yale, Sambisa forest, turned himself in to troops stationed at the 112 Task Force Battalion in Mafa.
According to intelligence sources, including insights from Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst Zagazola Makama, the surrendered terrorist was found in possession of weaponry and communication devices.
The items surrendered include one AK47 rifle, four AK47 magazines, six 7.62 MM special ammunitions, three Tecno mobile phones, and other miscellaneous items.
Following his surrender, the suspect has been taken into military custody for further investigation and profiling.
 This development marks a significant step in ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and insurgency in the region.
